Purpose

This template is an interface to the function angliciseRank in Module:Taxobox ranks, which one of a number of configuration templates and modules used in the taxobox system, in this case in both automated and manual taxoboxes.

It uses a table defined in Module:Taxobox ranks to translate a Latinized taxonomic rank into the English equivalent.
